A Full Fridge

Fruit and vege arrived yesterday. Supermarket delivery arrived today. So this is what a week's worth of food looks like for my family (two adults, one large dog, one cat):

Time to start prepping for next week!

Update: prep done for some of next week's meals

Kangaroo patties, sweet potato, cabbage salad

Energy booster (kale, parsley, pears, almond milk) plus pea protein

Organic chicken and zucchini bean mash

Now time to do some dishes!

Hey you! Just spent a few minutes catching up on your blog and what's been going on with you.

Your friend's wedding was beautiful and her wedding dress was absolutely stunning. I am normally not very enamored with wedding dresses but that one is amazing. You and Rob look so cute and I am glad to hear you ate and had champagne - a girl's got to have some FUN! :)

I am jealous of all your plum options... and was actually surprised to know there is more than ONE variety. :) You see how sheltered I am. Ha!

Your fridge and food looks amazing. So fresh and healthy.

As for taking some time off and TOM, I am a big believer in listening to your body and just chilling out if you start feeling sick or run down. Exercise shouldn't make you feel crappy. :)

Have a great weekend!
Jess

I love your organisation!
I must get back into my pre-cooking and planning ahead, it truely is helpful.

That's the most organized full fridge I have ever seen! Mine is always trashed from oodles of kids rummaging through it.

You do a serious amount of food prep! That's awesome that you're so organized. Everything looks good!

Hey Charlotte,

I'm home doing my weekly food prep and was thinking about this post. All your cut up food in the photos, is that for the entire week or just before a cook up?

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments. Sorry I haven't responded until now - energy levels have been very low.

Lia - it depends on the food and how well it keeps. For the meat I prep enough for the week, refrigerate half and freeze half. Veges I tend to do enough to last half the week and then do a second lot of prep midway through the week if I start to run out. So pics in this post are for most of a week (fridge is full of containers of prepared meat/veges I can pull out and throw a meal together with). Over winter I may cook more one-pot meals on Saturday to eat during the week.

Okay great. As per usual I'm trying to fine tune my time management during the week and might try this approach too. :o)

What kind of dog food is that?

Hi Tori, it's VIP Platinum Dog Roll (Lamb & Turkey). TJ loves it. The first time we gave a piece to him he thought he was getting a treat. He couldn't believe he got to eat a whole bowlful. Here's some more info: http://www.vippetfoods.com.au/dogfood/roll/Platinum/2.2kg/
