As shown on 60 Minutes on Sunday night...

Australia's fruit and vegetables are sprayed with chemicals that are considered so dangerous they're banned around the world. Liz Hayes spent a hellish few weeks, witnessing the mutating effects of these poisons on people in other countries. And it's a horror show. Worst of all, the people who are supposed to be protecting us are pretending it's not happening.

M1: pomegranate, kiwi and strawberry smoothie
M2: frittata, small apple
M3: open tofu sandwich, red cabbage
M4: apple pie smoothie (minus the avocado)
M5: Greek lamb salad, glass of red wine, mixed fruit

I will lose 10kg by 31 December

How horrific! It's really scary to think that we are unwittingly eating so many unhealthy toxins (not that there are healthy toxins!).

Hope you enjoyed the smoothie :) The avocado made it ultra-creamy for me, but if you can eat bananas, I bet they'd work even better!

Thanks for sharing Charlotte...that is pretty scary. Another good argument for organic food...wish I could get more of it up here! ;-) At least I wash the veggies and fruit...now more than ever!
