This morning we did the park circuit again, only this time in reverse: walking lunges up a hill, then two sets each of rows, body-weight squats (down to the edge of a park bench then up again), shoulder press, chin ups (this time I tried standing in my band instead of kneeling in it, which made it a bit easier) and press ups. It felt much harder doing the press ups at the end after already working my shoulders but it was good to get legs out of the way first.

I made banana cinnamon pancakes for breakfast, but they were a bit of a failure due to the lack of a non-stick pan.

Lunch was much more successful - pizza!

I started out with a gluten-free wrap

placed it on a pizza tray

topped it with
- tomato paste
- garlic
- a little low fat pizza cheese
- halved cherry tomatoes
- sliced artichoke hearts
- sliced mushrooms
- roasted red capsicum
- chopped ham
- dried oregano
- and a little more low fat pizza cheese

put it in a 220 C oven for 15 minutes

then topped it with a handful of salad leaves - lunch is served!

The pizza kept me going through an afternoon of gardening. Today I reduced this

to this

Hopefully I've pruned the bushes back hard enough so Rob will be able to get in there and take them out tomorrow. There are way too many shrubs in our front yard and neither of us have time to maintain them, so out they come.

Dinner was another success: lamb chops, parsnip mash and homemade sweet potato chips

Rob got some DVDs out of the library today so tonight we are watching some old episodes of The Sopranos. PS, we enjoyed the Rise of the Planet of the Apes last night.

Hi Charlotte,
Enjoying your daily blog. Wondered though if you can make your pics any bigger - would enhance the look of the blog and some of those recipes look too good to be weeny.
Cheers
Liz;)

Ah that reminds me, I have some multigrain wraps in the pantry just calling out to be made into pizzas too. Will make a nice change from my boring salads of late.

Loving the movie marathon. Recently we have watched Super8 and an oldie The hunt for red October!
