Almond Milk recipe

Makes 4 cups

Soak 1 cup of almonds in 1 cup of boiling water overnight, or for 8-12 hours.


Drain and rinse the almonds. Place in a blender with 4 cups water


Blend well


Strain the almond milk through a nut mylk bag or similar into a 1L container.

Does the resulting milk separate at all, like coconut milk?

Looks and sounds delicious, but I have to be honest...I would NEVER do this. Laziness? I don't know. It's just something I will admire other people doing, and if I want almond milk, I will buy it. :)

Hi Noel, it does a little bit, so I usually give it a stir before using it.

Hi Kathleen, unfortunately I can't buy unsweetened almond milk where I live (only the sweetened kind), so if I want some I have to make it myself. Cheers, Charlotte
