Autumn Fruit

We are lucky enough to have four apple trees in our back yard. Way back in October last year they started blossoming:

And now they are ready to pick:

We have granny smiths (above), golden delicious and two red varieties. Here's one of the red ones:

The rosellas have been enjoying them too - at least there are plenty of apples to go around!

We also have a nashi pear tree that's the same age as the apple trees. It produced little baby nashis but they didn't grow any further. The nashi has a much younger normal pear grafted onto it and that has produced a few pears so far.

There are some tree tomatoes (tamarillos) on the way too:

What do you have growing in your garden?

We have a massive fig tree that produces LOTS of fruit. The birds get the top 2/3s of it (we could never reach it anyway) and we're struggling to keep up with the bottom 1/3. They are so delicious and we have some dried and some made into fig paste to have on a cheese platter (we're not jam eaters). GO THE FIGS!!

Lots and lots and lots of zucchini. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally grew a 2kg one! Also have kale, beans, various herbs, capsicums, butternut squash, wine grapes, blueberries and spring onions. Plus I just bought a punnet of broccoli plants and a punnet of caulies.
Behind us is a vacant block with a giant fig tree and I'm eying off the neighbor's peach tree out my office window.

Wow, you have been busy! I have just started some broccoli and cauli myself.
