Morning or Evening?

So far this week I've managed to fit in a swim (Monday) and a back & biceps workout (Tuesday) and am planning on another swim today. All in the evening. After being at work all day. A few months ago it wouldn't have happened. I'd either do something in the morning or not at all. I'm not sure if it's the extra light at night, or having more energy from the B vitamins I started taking again on Monday, but it's nice to 'want' to exercise again. And I've noticed that I'm not super hungry all day like I usually am after exercising in the morning. Instead I exercise in the evening, have dinner and a hot chocolate then toddle off to bed.

Do you prefer exercising in the morning or evening?

I normally train in the mornings while the kids are still in bed. There are a couple of afternoons I train in the evening as my eldest is at dancing lessons. I enjoy training in the afternoon as I have a little bit more energy which I think is due to having eaten throughout the day. I have tried eating prior to my morning sessions but I just can't stomach anything too early.

I'm a morning exerciser, i'm so frigen shagged mentally by the end of the day, I can't be assed performing any evening cardio! BUT in saying that - this might all change once this little bubba comes along - i think i'll just be happy to exercise when it suits me and bubs.
LOVE that you are into swimming - i LOVE it and can't wait to finish work so i can do it much more of it!!!

Morning for sure. Sets me up for a fabulous day. I'm too tired in the evenings.

Although I do, most days, walk to met hubby and walk home with him. I take the doggy and just dawdle and I do find the fresh air is beautiful.

Definitely morning for me. Post work is family time including dinner and later listening to my boy read. However if it was just about me, it could be exercise time as well.

Hi Michelle, I tend to have more energy for training in the afternoons too, but definitely think it would be harder to juggle things with family commitments.

Hi Fern, I used to do a lot of swimming and find it quite relaxing (once I get my fitness up).

Hi Shelley, evening walks are lovely, especially when you are doing them at a relaxing pace.

Hi Magda, yes I am lucky to have the choice I guess. I do admire mothers who are able to juggle family and exercise!

Ugh. Evenings are too busy and I'm always too tired by the end of the day anyway. I often go for a walk, but I don't class that as exercise...

Definitely mornings for me! :)

Hi Kek, sounds like everyone's liking the morning training! (Or at least that's where it best fits in a busy schedule.)
